William McWhorter, a native of Longview, began his insurance career with Gans & Smith in the summer of 2019. William attended The University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 2013 with a B.A. in Government, and minor in Communications Studies. After graduation, William held several positions in politics with campaigns and elected officials in East Texas, Austin, Washington, D.C., and New Hampshire. He returned to Texas in the Spring of 2017, and worked the past two years at the Longview Chamber of Commerce.
Public service is important to William and he looks forward to continuing with that passion at Gans & Smith, and volunteering in the community. In addition to community service, William enjoys working out, playing billiards, hitting the golf links, engaging in outdoor activities, spending time with family and friends, and rooting on his Longhorns.
